Still a young pup!

OK, first of all, this card looks waaaay better IRL than the pic, but my children bought me a new camera for Christmas, and I cannot figure out how to shut the flash off! This requires an IT degree, seriously! So that is not white drool on his chin, it is glitter........
This is an Inky Antics image, for one of my friends in MA (how's the weather Bruce, eh??) I am stuck in the house with a miserable cold, so thought I would make good use of my time in jail, and make some cards.......heehee any excuse will do!

Weigh In~~

Yeah, Christmas is DONE! I hate to sound like the grinch, but I just needed to get through this year!! I am sooooo looking forward to 2012! Well anyway, I just got back from TN/GA visiting children/grandchildren, and made a stop @ Jerry's Artarama in Nashville. While there, I picked up a few of the Twin Touch markers, because I am looking for a less expensive alternative to copics.....(besides my beloved pencils) I couldn't really match up colors because I had an antsy three yr old with me (what was I THINKING?) However, I did pick up their blue/grays (coloring on the scales) and I must say, they blend really nice! I started out w/Prisma markers, and still use them for detail work, so some might  miss the brush tip, but I actually like a finer point.  I plan on going back in January (when I spend a week w/the antsy three yr old, LOL!) and getting quite a few more, they are $1.89 apiece, and I was quite pleased........So, four of us "girls" meet on Wed morning to weigh in and encourage one another, & I made this card for my BFF Judy. (She's lost 18 lbs so far, you go girl!) I am entering this into the following challenges:

EEEK, a week before Christmas, where the heck did this year GO???? I was not going to post again, but made this b'day card for my son-in-law (no, I am not a monster-in-law!) and thought it would be a good opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.......I try to get to everyone who has commented on my posts, so if I missed someone over this past year, my bad! I appreciate every single person that visits with wonderful positive messages. I think we tend to be hyper-critical of our own work, so when someone actually affirms what you have done, oh it is sooooooo nice! So thank you one and all. This will be my last regular post, my "season" starts on January 10th with Sis visiting for four months, plus a few stragglers. I have the FL address, so they're all welcome! I have to admit it's getting lonely here, so I'm looking forward to the company! I will also be traveling to TN and GA for the holidays, Lord grant me patience w/four grandchildren, hahahaha! I hope you all have the merriest of holidays, and my 2012 be the best!

Good evening everyone~~first off, I must apologize, I took at least ten pictures of this card, and this was the best one, EEEEK! Sorry, it really does not do the image justice! This is a Sugar Nellie digi image I downloaded from Funky Kits, colored w/copics. They are so adorable, I cannot stand it! I am sure you will see them again (& maybe again!)
Well, after two pounds of fudge, too many cookies to count, and numerous other "bad" foods, I lost 1/4 of a pound........so not great, but I didn't gain either! I had three Christmas parties this week, please take me away! I am going to enter this into the following challenges:

Tiny Tots

Happy Monday everyone~~short post. I hope everyone had a great weekend, I went to see "Happy Feet 2"........OMGosh, how cute was that movie! I actually loved it more than the first. So this is my monthly entry for the Art Impressions challenge, they're the cute tots collection. Not a lot of embellishment, I did not want to detract from the image (not to mention the fact it took me a long time to color LOL!) Well, a happy weekend to everyone! Brrr is not for me, the weather today is absolutly gorgeous! I'm just finishing up some stragglers (cards to people I FORGOT!) This one is a Nellie Snellen image I bought from HERE...cute as can be, but deceiving! Whew there were a lot of parts to this! She is done w/Prisma's mostly, although some of it was based in copics. The bow is way too big, but I hate making bows, so that was that. My other picture is "the kids." They were not so energetic the other night, and curled up with each other. I thought is was so cute, I just had to take a picture. The one with his foot up is Charlie (Charles in charge) and the patient female is Cassie. (actually not patient at all, sometimes she can be pretty feisty!)
