Giving thanks~~

Hi everyone~~me again! One of the challenges this week was a "Thank You' card, and I immediately ran to the fall "pile" to make one for Thanksgiving! You can never be too early with these things, heehee! So, I went to the Dr's on Monday, had my physical where the doc said my EKG was just a "little" abnormal. OK, I was not too concerned. Then the vampire came in to draw blood~~I, like 99.9% of the population hate needles, but I grin and bear it for  6 seconds. For whatever reason, when she inserted it, I jumped, she jumped, and fwiiiiiinnnnggg the needle jumped, out of the syringe. So after wads of cotton balls to stem the gusher, plus wails of "OMG, I am so sorry!" we started on the other arm~and halfway to herself she muttered, "guess I'll use the baby needle this time." HUH???? They come in sizes?? (I once said this to a MAN) WTH, did she use the super deluxe equine model the 1st time? At any rate, my day quickly morphed from, "deedeedada, I can't wait to get home & have my vitamuffin w/fresh fruit" to ....."GET ME THE HELL OUT OF HERE so I can have an egg McMuffin with a side of fried pork rinds and a cup of cream with coffee on the side!" Oh, and that "no big deal" EKG??? I have to go for a nuclear stress test, next week~~~to be continued!

Isn't this image just darh---ling?? She is from Kraftin Kimmie, and colored w/copics. I added clear glaze to her boots, stickles to the trim and fluff to the edges of the water, but it does not seem to show up well~~Anyway, this is what my Sunday was all about--coloring! I think I am all done with red, white and blue, but I may have one more! Hope you all (or y'all in TN) had a wonderful weekend! I have to be @ the Dr's for a blood test @ 7:30 AM tomorrow, and you know what that means? FASTING! Oh man, I am going to be mean by the time I get out of there, I need my tea first thing!!!! Hmmm, maybe it will be a good excuse for breakfast @ IHOP....do they serve WW's?????  LOL!

Kevin is painfully shy, so we talked him into weightlifting, with the hope it would bring him out of his shell~~how's that working out you ask?? Hi everyone! Well another day, another dollar...NOT! I'm sharing my all day project here~~It's a Sarah Kay image from 7KidsCollege colored w/copics and matted w/Kioshi Basic Gray. I used Flowers from Michael's and Zva pearls. I actually like the way this came out! ( that is so unusual) OK, I'm going to actually sit for the rest of the evening, but before I go, I would like mention something. I live alone, and although I am far from a recluse (I volunteer three days a week, have classes one) I have met some amazing people through the internet. Just a few I want to mention:
Shirley from Impression/Obsession who actually emiled me personally with some great blogging tips, how cool was that! Thank you!
Rusty from Oozak once called me within 45 minutes of placing an order online, to ask if was all right for him to substitute something. Tab from 7KidsCollegeFund worked with me on a refund that was entirely MY FAULT. Susana from SCACD will always personalize her packages with a handwritten note and a small gift. Terri from Stamps Alive! manages to get packages from one coast to the other in no more than three days! She is a great person as well. Finally, I need to shout out to my FIRST follower..Marlene from Disguised as a Grownup  who tries to leave comments on her followers blogs (Ummmm, she has a THOUSAND followers!) She makes me laugh, laugh, laugh and I love her encouragement! Visit her!!!

Hey everyone, happy Monday! OK, disclaimer here, I'm retired, so I now loveeee Mondays! (& Tues. Wed. etc!) Here. I had hoped to enter it into their challenge, but they're looking for summer themes this week, AARRGGHH! I colored w/copics, and embellished w/MS glitter, & K & Co. Americana stickers~~I usually don't like stickers, but these were awesome. Thank you all for the nice encouragement on my five pound loss! It really is a lot on a 5' frame, so now all I have to do is ditch the other 15! Have a great weekend~~
Hmmmmm, actually, upon further encouragement and reflection, I AM going to enter this into Impression/Obsession, there is nothing more summery than the Fourth of July, right??? OK, a little stretch here!

Well, the weekend is here, hope everyone has great plans, or no plans at all! I just saw two movies, "Midnight in Paris" and "Mr Popper's Penquins" both pretty good. I'm not a Jim Carrey fan, but this was humorous! Staying in for the next few days, it has been ungodly HOT here (90-100°)
My card today is a Mo Manning image~~I've been on WW for a year now, but have only recently put my complete effort into it (lost 5 lbs.!) I sent this to my sister, hoping she will get on the bandwagon with me. Anyway, I am entering this into two challenges:

Wow, I cannot believe how much time I have had to craft this month~~I might get spoiled. Actually, June is the only month I do NOT have a birthday, anniversary, holiday (except for Father's Day!). With kids and grandkids, it is always something! OK, my card image is from TiddlyInks (digi) and I am taking a colored pencil class over @ Color Me Creative w/Marti,( CMC) so this was the end result. The only frustrating part was the picture corners, they just would not stay down, GRRRRRR! I bought a huge paper pad (8 1/2"x 11") called "Four Seasons" and I am just having a grand ole' time making the envies to match! Good morning everyone! Another Father's Day card, this one for a very dear friend of mine. I'm entering this into the Wednesday sketch for Outlawz~~you can find that link here. The image is Whippersnapper and the sentiment is computer generated. I'm trying to scout around for a few more so I might edit this post~~SOMEONE has to have a challenge this week for Father's Day! Soooo, just a small vent on my part~~this month I start SS, which is not a lot, but definitely helps the cardmaking cause! When I spoke w/the rep, he told me I would start benefits in June-this is June, right?? No SS. I called this morning, politely begging "show me the money" to which he replied, "you have to be 62 for a FULL 30 days before benefits start, that would be the FIRST week in July. SERIOUSLY????? No one thought this was an important piece of information they could share with me???? AARRGGHH! OK, I'm done, back to coloring and cards!

Hi all! Another card, it is either feast or famine in this house! This is a wallet card, unremarkable on the front, but cute as a button inside! The image was downloaded from e-magination digital stamps, I love their images! The star is from HOTP brad buddies, and I colored Dad (who is really my son and granddaughter) w/copics and pencils. I think after my colored pencil class, I might take a photography course, I am picture deficient! Good afternoon everyone! Well, this is an engagement card I made for a dear friend's daughter~~how fun~! I colored the image w/Prisma Pencils, and used SB to frame it. I'm taking the Colored Pencil II class from Marti Wills at Color Me Creative, and I have really learned some great techniques! I know copics are the "in" way to color, but for an inexpensive alternative, you cannot beat pencils! Anyway this is being entered into:
